WRITER

Alexander Grey was born on June 21, 1976 in Germany, to his mother, an American art collector, with Irish, Scottish, Dutch, and French ancestry, and his father, a German film director. Recognizing his talent as a young stage performer, while taking on the lead character in a high school play, his parents encouraged him to become an actor. After giving it a shot, Alexander soon found himself in front of the camera on a German TV hit show, which also fueled his interest in directing and screenwriting. Anxious to explore the world on his own, he moved to NYC and signed up at the NY Film Academy. During a trip to LA, he finally got his first break as an upcoming screenwriter, when his anti-war movie script, 'The Resister', caught the attention of the award-winning director, Ron Krauss. Eager to team up with Ron, Alexander decided to move out West, where he then wrote 'Straight To The Gun', a heart-breaking social political drama, based in the South Side of Chicago, that reflects the times in which we live.
