Allan Lay (born September 28, 1967) is an American stage, film, and voice over actor. In 1982, at the age of 15, he made his debut on television, appearing as a delinquent on the television series "Juvenile Court" Allan was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma in 1967, the youngest of two sons to Lee Roy and Barbara (Clark)Lay. Lay was raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Where he thrived in theater and improvisation. He received undergraduate degrees in Theatre at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Oklahoma Christian University. Allan followed the acting scholarships from NEO, to Missouri Southern State, to Oklahoma State University, to OCU. While in high school and college he supplemented his income, doing hand modeling and occasional runway work for Jean's West (1987-88). In the early 1990's Lay began doing radio work, voice overs, and time as a morning show DJ. After "burning out" in theater Lay took a hiatus until 1994, when rumors of a new Star Trek series "Voyager" peaked his interest. After auditioning for the role of Tom Paris, he was short listed for the part of Nelix, which eventually went to Ethan Phillips . Lay was greatly affected by the aging process of going from leading man to stocky bald man and stayed away from acting for the next 20 years. Confident in his new look he has begun re-entering the acting field. Outside of his acting profession, Allan loves spending time with his family, reading, and online gaming.
