A proud member of SAGAFTRA & AEA, Amber Crawford made her film debut in the 2005 abduction drama "Broken", which won praise from legendary film critic Roger Ebert in a rare review of the independent short film. Originally hailing from Florida, she studied with iconic actor Burt Reynolds at his famous Burt Reynolds Institute. Training with Uta Hagen's protégé Marc Durso at ActTrue taught her Uta Hagen's highly regarded method, and she performed at regional Florida playhouses Stage Door Theatre & Actors' Playhouse in Coral Gables. She studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute upon moving to NYC, as well as Improv training at the People's Improv Theatre, started by SNL writer Ali Farahnakian. Furthering her studies in the steps of Cynthia Nixon, Edward Norton, & John Patrick Shanley at the venerable T. Schreiber Studio, she studied with Terry Schreiber himself. In NYC theatre, she has performed lead roles with the August Strindberg Repertory Theatre, won the Best Supporting Actress award for "A Light in the Dark", and a Best Supporting Actress nomination in Midtown International's "Glockcoma", starring Loni Ackerman. Amber was brought up by a single mother, raised her little brother on her own for three years, and recently reunited with her father after not seeing him since her childhood. She resides in NYC and travels to LA for work.
