Amy Trigg grew up in Essex, England. She trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where she became the first wheelchair user to graduate from one of their performance courses. She recently joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and is (2019) currently appearing as Biondella in 'Taming of The Shrew' and will later play Juliet in 'Measure for Measure'. Her past theatre roles include Anna in 'Goth Weekend' (The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough and Live Theatre, Newcastle), Sally Simpson in 'The Who's Tommy' (Tour), Laura in 'The Glass Menagerie' (Nottingham Playhouse), Player in 'Shakespeare Within The Abbey' (Westminster Abbey with Shakespeare's Globe) and Sonneteer in 'The Sonnet Walks' (Shakespeare's Globe). Her dance work includes 'Fusion' (Lilian Baylis Theatre, Sadlers Wells), 'The Joy of Dance' (Lyric Hammersmith) and 'Sadlers Wells Takeover Weekend' (National Theatre, Riverside Stage). Alongside her acting and dance work she speaks about diversity at conferences and other events. Amy was a contributor to the book 'Feminists Don't Wear Pink (and other lies)'.
