Andrew Ballard

Andrew Ballard works as an actor, writer, and teacher. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous theatrical, film, and television productions. Favorite theatre credits include Orsino and Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, Valentine in Arcadia, and roles played while on national tours with Virginia Repertory Theatre. Film and TV credits include roles in Sally Pacholok, Veep, and Mercy Street. In 2019, he will see the publication of his first picture book, The Great Big Ark in the Sky, which he co-authored with his sister, Liz Ballard Hamm. Andrew teaches theatre and public speaking at Eastern View High School, and he is the program manager for New Voices for the Theatre, a playwriting competition and residency at SPARC--School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community. He holds a B.A. in theatre from James Madison University and is engaged in postgraduate studies at the University of Virginia.
