Actor for more than 30 years, trained by John Strasberg at the Actors' Studio and Niels Arestrup at the "École Du Passage", Benoit Gourley has appeared in numerous TV movies, TV series and feature films both in French and in English. In cinema, he collaborated with Manoel De Oliveira, Peter Hyams, Lisa Azuelos, Laurence Ferreira-Barbosa, Claude Pinoteau, Benoit Jacquot and Yves Robert. On stage, he notably played Hélicon in Camus' "Caligula" and Max Ernst in "La Fiancée Du Vent". After having been Chrysalde in the Molière' comedy "L'École Des Femmes", he puts on the clothes of Father De Montfort under the direction of Michael Lonsdale. At the last theater festival in Avignon, he was seen in the hit comedy "Comme 2 Frères" where he donned the character of a perverse manipulator. He is coached in France by Patricia Sterlin and represented in Paris by Franck Thépenier (Agence F).
