Claudia Barroso

Claudia was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a child she moved to the US with her mother and grew up in San Francisco, California. She caught the acting bug at the age of 7 when she saw her uncle Bruno Barroso perform on stage. Years later she toyed with the idea of becoming an actress herself. She attended classes at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and soon after appeared in her first independent shorts. Shortly thereafter she landed her first lead role in Show Me Your Tattoo (1999). Claudia soon realized that acting was her call in life. In 2000 she directed, produced and starred in her first short movie called "Desire". In 2002 she decided to pursue her acting career in Los Angeles, two months after her arrival she landed an agent and two months later her first national commercial with the brilliant Director Spike Lee. Later she landed a part in Lost Focus (2004), directed by Sanford Fleishman. In 2003 she joined SAG and dropped her last name and is now known as Claudia.
