Dani Romero

Dani Romero was born in the large suburb of Mexico City, 'Tlalpan' located on the city's southern border. She is of Mexican, Scottish and Irish decent. As a young girl, she began to develop her skills as a performer, taking singing and music lessons for various years. After moving to Canada and starting high school in 2011, she quickly became involved in the theatre department, acting and singing in various original plays and musicals, as well as joining the improv team, where she got the opportunity to compete nationally at the Canadian Improv Games. Over the years Dani has created her own content, co-writing, directing and acting in an award winning short play, as well as two independent short films which were screened at the Toronto Indie Film Festival in 2016. In addition to her rigorous studies at Humber College's Acting for Film and Television Program, Dani has also taken the 3 week Voice Intensive workshop at Canada's National Voice Intensive in the summer of 2017. In her spare time Dani likes to stay active and creative, taking aerial silks classes once a week.
