Dominic Carter

Dominic Carter is a British actor best known for his recurring roles as DC Hooch in Coronation Street, and as Janos Slynt in the HBO series, Game of Thrones. Dominic is a veteran of television, appearing in several popular British television and film projects including credits in shows such as Doctors, The Bill, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Confirmed in 2010, Carter was announced to play Janos Slynt, the commander of the City Watch in King's Landing (aka 'The Gold Cloaks') and founder of House Slynt. Initially only introduced as a guest star in the first series, his spot-on portrayal of the character led to his return for the second, fourth and fifth seasons. Although an insufferable character, Carter brought a much more humanistic element to the series, making it easier to determine who the good guys were.
