Doron Bell

Doron Bell

ACTOR

Born to a Jamaican Mother and father (Teacher and Tradesman) in Montreal who immigrated to Canada from the U.S, Doron was 22 when he made the late decision to add acting to his repertoire as a performer. Continually moving west from Alberta to B.C and already an experienced singer from his stint with in a boy band that caught the eye of American Idol's Randy Jackson(then A&R for Sony Music), Doron's transition from musical theater to film and television was seamless. After starring in a number of college theater productions, he signed to his first theatrical agent and started booking roles locally in Vancouver. Eventually he ventured south to L.A and In 98 landed his first series regular role as a troublesome yet endearing South African teenager on the TV family drama "Born Free". The 26 episodes of Born Free were an even mix of comedy and drama that, unbeknownst to him, laid the foundation for his future as the strong character he is today. Doron's vocal versatility has also garnered him a fair amount of success in the voice-over animation world. He's lent his voice to several successful cartoon characters including the voice of "Waldo" on the new Dreamworks Animation/Netflix hit series Dinotrux. Recently, Doron has forayed back to the music industry and his new dance single "Beauty In You" is currently gracing the radio waves in France & Korea. Doron splits his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
