George Harrington Butts

Known for his enthusiastic "Yeahhh, waffles!" in the Wyndham Rewards Wizard commercials with Kristofer Hivju, George got his acting start in Kindergarten as the little boy in Madama Butterfly at The Metropolitan Opera. Although he nearly got knocked into the orchestra pit during the company bow on opening night, George performed well enough to land himself a second Met acting role: in Samson and Dalila, he played The Philistine Child, guiding Plácido Domingo as the blinded Samson. He then sang with the Met Childrens' Chorus, performing in Faust, La Boheme, and Turandot, to name a few. A proud native New Yorker actor, George's time as an opera kid would end at The Bronx Opera with the role of The 3rd Spirit in The Magic Flute.
