Greta Pope is an American singer, actress, songwriter, band leader, radio host, educator, and author. Greta Pope was born Greta Denise Pope in Cincinnati, Ohio to Margaret Wickliffe Pope, a businesswoman and William Allen Pope, a mechanical engineer. Greta attended Kennedy elementary and Woodward High School, where she sang in the Woodward High School Ensemble, a prestigious vocal group and played violin in the Woodward Orchestra. She was also a member of The Cincinnati Youth Symphony, where she played first violin under the baton of Cincinnati Symphony Concertmaster Sigmund Effron. She began playing piano at the age of 6 and violin at the age of 11.
