Izzy Steel

"Izzy" began her acting career in the summer of 2002 as the comical villain Annie Laurie in Charlie's War (2003). Answering the casting call in Nashville with about 300 other great kids, she was selected to co-star with Lynn Redgrave, Olympia Dukakis, Diane Ladd, and Bobbie Eakes. She lends a comical presence to the role and claims Glenn Close (Cruella De'ville) as her inspiration. Learning much from Lynn Redgrave, she was reviewed as having delivered a "delightful" performance in a scene with the child protagonist Ariel Blackwood. After her work on Charlie's War (2003), Steel went on to represent Tennessee in a photo layout in the international girl's magazine Discovery Girl. She was featured in a national magazine called Life way in the Spring of 2004. Director Curt Hahn of Transcendent Films was so impressed by Izzy's talent that he booked her for the role of Jessie in the film No Regrets (2004) starring Janine Turner, Lari White, Brad Johnson and Robert Merrill.
