Janetta Davis has been involved in professional and collegiate theater since 1979. As a former Resident Company Member of Contemporary American Theater Company, Janetta fulfilled a career goal of becoming a resident actor in a repertory company, while performing numerous roles, stage managing, costuming, touring, and production managing. Janetta especially enjoyed her stay in NYC while performing Ha! Ha! Club, her year at the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, her guest artist gigs at universities and regional theaters As an Equity actor Janetta has performed in over 100 roles and directed over 50 plays. She was trained in the Professional Actor Training Program at Ohio University and Indiana University of PA. At the Milwaukee Rep she spent 6 weeks training with Julie Taymor and that experience forever changed her process of character creation. Current favorite roles: Amanda in The Glass Menagerie, Gertrude in Hamlet and Joann in Possible Worlds. She is the Theater Program Coordinator at Columbus School for Girls, and has been teaching acting courses to the young and old in the community.
