Janine Barris

Actress Janine Barris was raised in Fairlawn, New Jersey. She is the daughter of visual artist Beverly Barris and Wall Street businessman Jonas Gerstl. Being raised by both sides of the brain, as she likes to call it, she has developed a strong creative and business sense for Hollywood. Janine's great Uncle,George Barris, is one of the most prominent photographers of the 20th Century most known for his work with Marilyn Monroe. Both of her parents are Jewish and of Romanian, Hungarian, and Austrian decent. They were raised in the Bronx. Janine is her mother's only child and has two half brothers.
