John Bixler performed in 27 shows at Red House in Syracuse, NY as a member of the Acting Company. Favorites include "Into the Woods," "Medea," "Broadway Bound," "Gross Indecency," "The Cherry Orchard," "Macbeth" (SALT Award - Best Actor), "The Baltimore Waltz," "The Full Monty," "Noises Off," "Vigil" and "s;c," He originated the roles of Elliot in "Odysseus DOA" and Royale in "The Penguin Tango"; both of which he went on to perform regionally and in New York City. With Connecticut Repertory Theatre he appeared in "The Music Man" (with Barrett Foa), "My Fair Lady" (with Terrence Mann), "How To Succeed In Business...," "Guys and Dolls," "Man of La Mancha," "West Side Story," "Noises Off" and "The Pirates of Penzance". Bixler has worked at many regional theatre including Caldwell Theatre Co., FL, GableStage, FL, Actor's Playhouse, FL, Buffalo United Artists, NY. He has worked extensively in media from short films to long running television show. Bixler recently appeared as Danforth in "I'm Not Rappaport" with Th Lsove Boat's Fred Grandy and Ted Lange. The production will have a mini-national tour in the Spring of 2020. He graduated magna cum laude with a BFA in performance from Ohio University.
