Kostas Triantafyllopoulos (also written as Kostas Triantafillopoulos) was born on February 8, 1956 in Athinaio, Arcadia, Greece. He graduated Athens Drama School in 1977. He has played a wide variety of roles on stage from Greek tragedy, Aristophanes, William Shakespeare and Anton Chekhov to contemporary American drama (Eugene O'Neill, Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams , Joyce Carol Oates, Thornton Wilder, Sam Shepard). He has acted in many plays produced by the National Theatre of Greece and by other major Greek theaters. He has appeared in Tennessee Williams' "Camino Real" (Kilroy), in Arthur Miller's "All my Sons" (Joe Keller), in Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit" (Garcin), in Eugene O'Neill's "Hughie" (Erie Smith), in William Shakespeare's "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" (Launce), in Aristophanes' "The Frogs" (Xanthias), in Sophocles' "Oedipus at Colonus" (Creon) as well as in many other plays. He's also starred in numerous movies and TV series. From November 1998 to July 1999 he participated in the world grand tours of the National Theatre of Greece with the plays Medea by Euripides (Creon) and Electra by Sophocles (Paedagogus).
