Luz Whitney

Luz Whitney was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York. At the age of 7, she began acting in school plays and performed in local theatre. She attended ballet school with her older sister Nilsa and danced in regional dance contests. She was a Lambada performer. She played the role of Sonia Braga at the age of 17 in a one woman show. At the age of 18 she was a Miss Hawaiian Tropic Model and Venus Swimwear Model. At the age of 19 she became an International Swimwear Calendar Girl. She started belly dancing her way into Film and Television. She landed the role of "Dabomb"girl in the Spike Lee film "bamboozled", with actors Damon Wayans, Jada Pinkett Smith, Savion Glover, Mos Def ,Michael Rapaport and Tommy Davidson.
