She headed the cast of several soap operas in the 70s and 80s such as Rebelde y solitario (1982), Llena de amor (1980), Quiero morir mañana (1987) among others. In 1985, she headed a famous movie, with actress Maria Valenzuela, Sucedió en el internado (1985). The movie was a hit and it was the second erotic character Mariana Karr played, after "EscalofrÃf­o" in Spain.
