Michael Morano

Michael Morano was born on January 22, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, New York to an Italian American family. Michael was raised in Poughkeepsie's Little Italy called Mt. Carmel Square, where immigrant grandparent's (Assunta and Pietro Marcinelli) settled when they came over from Italy. Michael's parents divorced when he was 8 years old, leaving his mother (Loreta Marcinelli) to raise 3 children on a small pay check. Struggling to make ends meet, Loreta always made sure the house was filled with love and strong family values. Michael's father (Allie G Morano Sr.), was a blue collar independent carpenter. Michael could never sit still. From a very young age he found himself mimicking characters from classic movies during the commercials. When Michael was 3 years old, he put a mop on his head and sang into a wooden spoon. His mother said; "Michael!" What am I going to do with you!?" Michael replied; "Send me to Hollywood mommy!"
