Michael Scratch is a actor based out of Toronto. He was the youngest born of 3 and lived in Timmins Ontario until the age of 16 when he moved to London. Michael spent most of his young adulthood heavily engaged in athletics. He became a professional firefighter at the age of 23. In 2003 at the age of 33, Michael was one of six television contestants that won and accepted the role from the organizers of Thunder From Down Under to be part of a national male review dance troupe that travelled across Canada. In order to do this he had to take a 9 month leave of absence from firefighting, during which time he immersed himself not only in his stage entertainment role, but in his long sought desire to becoming an actor for tv and film. After several years of study and work in commercials and small television roles Michael landed his first leading role as Scott in The Body Machine. His athletic background allowed him to perform all his own stunts, including playing hockey and riding a Ducati in his role. The movie premiered at the Banff International Film Festival and was nominated for a Canadian Gemini Award. Michael played the alpha-wolf in the television movie We'rewolves: The Dark Survivors, in 2009 as well as a supporting antagonist in the acclaimed independent film Anchor Baby. Over the years, Michael took risks in choosing roles to help showcase his diversity as an actor. He's appeared in the series Nikita, Flashpoint and Covert Affairs. He has also had a reoccurring role as Detective Cobb in the critically acclaimed television series, The Expanse. Michael booked roles in the feature film Suicide Squad, as well the hit TV series, Designated Survivor, Mary Kills People, and American Gods. Michael resides in London with his young twin daughters while continuing his role as a Captain with the London Fire Department.
