Miritana Hughes

Miritana was born in New Zealand and is of Maori/Australian/Welsh descent. In 1998 he was accepted into the Acting faculty of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and graduated in 2000. In 2003, Miritana became an original Australian cast member of Julie Taymor & Disney Theatrical's The Lion King, and later appeared in a number of television productions, including; 'Rake', 'Sando', 'East West 101', 'Mary: The Making of a Princess', and the feature film 'Rip Tide'.
