Modest Jones

ACTRESS

Born Modest Freeman, to a single mother, Modest attended Catholic school in Springfield, Massachusetts before being accepted into the METCO program that brought her to the suburb of East Longmeadow. Modest added Jones to her last name to match her mother's, before graduating from East Longmeadow High School in 2000, as a Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse player. She was in the Spanish Club and on the Yearbook Committee. She participated in talent shows, community centers and baptist churches. At the age of 15, Modest was accepted into the Science Enrichment Program, where she took college courses and spent the summer living in a dormitory at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst (where her father received his B.A. and her mother received her Doctorate). Modest won some poetry contests and was published in the International Library of Poetry before she began her studies at Framingham State. Modest began attending Framingham State University, at the age of 17, and graduated on the Dean's List and the President's List. She began her studies in Fashion Design but later switched majors and received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts, with a few credits short of a Psychology minor. Modest was discovered by a talent scout, while working at Steve Madden, and continued her modeling career by moving to the Tri-State area to pursue music management, PR, acting and modeling, in New York City. Caught up in a hip hop scandal, Modest gave birth to twins, who signed on as models, as well. Modest attended school for Finance, and later left New York, after taking a few modeling gigs on the West Coast. Modest Jones became a Las Vegas resident in 2011, when her Moët/Hennessy modeling contract offered a transfer opportunity. Modeling and cocktail serving in the pools, lounges, bars and casino floors of Five Diamond Resort hotels and casinos brought Modest into the world of bartending. According to Modest, God stepped in and removed her from this industry. Modest admits that she still accepts work in Entertainment, but according to Modest, the work must be pre-approved by God. Modest has devoted her life to sharing her experiences with young people and inspiring others through positive words and actions. She has worked as a special education teacher and a substitute for the Clark County School District. Modest gives back to the community through her words and actions, while she raises three sons, on her own. Modest has many television shows, films, music videos, events and appearances under her belt, some of which she is proud of, and others, she says, are examples of a time that she was headed in the wrong direction. Modest is investing time and money into repairing her media persona, but she feels that her rocky past prepared the path to her life's purpose. In my Perception: A Modest Memoir" is volume one of "The Modest Series", scheduled to be released in 2018. Modest is the curator of ModestJones and the owner/creator of Modest Jones, LLC DBA Modest Jones Organic, a vehicle for publications, clothing and event planning, etc.
