Nancy Youngblut

Born and raised in Iowa, the middle of six children. Dad kept a plane in a hangar out behind our house so we flew everywhere. 'Got an MFA in "Directing for the Theatre" at the University of Georgia where I worked with internationally renowned theatre director, Zygmunt Hubner. Lots of regional theatre work as a director and actor and then off to NYC. Around 300 TV commercials later, including a series of spots directed by the brilliant Bill Persky, and playing Heidi in the Heidi Chronicles at the Cleveland Playhouse, I got a chance to understudy in Burn This on Broadway and went on with Scot Glen. 'Frequently travelled to Los Angeles to test/shoot pilots including Mars: Base One with Dan Ackroyd and Arly Hanks Mysteries with Ron Perlman and Kate Jackson. Highlights of the L.A. trips included shooting Murphy Brown "Barbara Boyle, Management Executive" and Absolute Strangers with Henry Winkler and Karl Malden directed by Gil Cates. 'Finally moved to Los Angeles with my family just in time for the Northridge Quake. Our place in Sherman Oaks was condemned so moved to Pasadena where I live happily ever after . . .
