Pooya Mohseni

Pooya Mohseni is an Iranian American actress, writer, filmmaker and activist, born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She moved to New York in her teens, where she discovered her love of acting and story telling. She is a graduate from the esteemed Maggie Flanigan Studio, and continues to build her resume of a wide range of characters, while exploring their humanity and fragility. She is fluent in Persian/Farsi and a transgender advocate, as well as a voice for immigrant and women's issues. She is also involved in writing and consulting on original LGBT stories to shed light on an otherwise under represented community.
