Ricardo Manigat is a Haitian-American actor and writer. Born to, Olivia Gabriel, a nurse's assistant, and Eddy Manigat, a taxi driver, in Brooklyn, New York. He attended high school on Long Island at Baldwin Senior High school, where he went on to become the 2005 Tom Thorp award winner, recognizing him as the best football player in Nassau County. He went on to graduate from Gettysburg College, where his love for acting and writing began, while also playing four years of college football. Upon returning to New York, Ricardo began taking acting classes immediately, most notably with the great Anthony Abeson. Best known for his work as Maurice Winston in When The Well Runs Dry, Ricardo Ricardo also serves as a host for IndieWorks, a monthly film festival stationed in Long Island city that showcases and supports local filmmakers. He conducts Q&A's with the filmmakers. The event is run by CongestedCat Productions LLC.
