Richard Clarkin was born in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. He is a graduate of The National Theater School of Canada. Even though he is busy in TV he still continues to act in many theater productions across Canada. Richard is also an ensemble member of The Company Theater of Toronto. His theater credits almost equal in number his TV credits. Some of these are, The Fighting Days, The Price, Waiting For Godot, Sherlock Holmes, Red River Rebellion, VideoCab, The Lion King, Death of a Salesman, plus many more at other theaters across Canada. Has also done voice-over work. Known for his reoccurring roles on The Murdoch Mysteries (TV Series) as Chief Constable Davis / Inspector Jeffrey Davis, Naturally, Sadie (TV Series) as Walter Hawthorne, and played the part, of an American President, in The War of 1812 a TV Mini-Series, and that President was Andrew Jackson.
