Steve Becos

Biography Steve Becos was born in Athens Greece August 1st, 1956. When he was a few months old his parents moved to Monte Carlo. His father Nick Becos was an officer in the 'Christina' Aristotle Onassis yacht. When Tina Onassis, Ari's first wife and mother of his children Alexandros and Christina, saw the baby she fell in love and wanted to baptize him. So Steve was baptized in the Onassis Monte Carlo home by his Godmother Tina Onassis and given the name Stavros Becos. Two years later the Becos family moved back to Greece where young Stavros developed a love for classic Greek myths and heroes. He also developed a love for movies especially ones depicting Greek heroes such as Herakles, Odysseus, Achilles, etc. The family emigrated to the United States in 1969 when Stavros was 12 years old. When he became a naturalized citizen he changed his first name from Stavros to Steve. During college he attended Film School at the University of Stonybrook in New York. His love for great stories became a passion which led to writing many screenplays over the years. His love for Detective Fiction and Classic films led to his first Novel 'Pistol In Hollywood' a story, set in the present, about a Private Investigator working in Hollywood.
