Troy Michel

Often referred to as the "It Girl Next Door", Troy Michel studies Journalism at the University of Richmond and works as a Multimedia Journalist for WUPV- CW Richmond. She made her debut to on- camera acting in the production of the new television series, "The Heart". In 2014, she was cast in the 4th season of Investigation Discovery's hit series, "Nightmare Next Door", along with several other on screen projects. Getting her start in theatrics during her senior year of high school, Troy Michel aced her role as "Vicki" in "Noises Off". That role awarded her an induction in the Thespian Honor Society. During her childhood, at just three years of age, she spontaneously stepped onto the stage at a local mall in Virginia and walked the runway of a fashion show as if she were part of the show displaying a strut, pivot and pose that would make Tyra Banks proud. At the tender age of eight, Troy Michel imitated Oprah Winfrey as a talk show host, the theme was fire safety and yes, her guests did stop, drop and roll. Moving on to middle school, she found her love for music and decided to form a singing group, writing the songs and creating the melodies. It appeared Troy was interested in show business and soon found a new love, producing, directing and acting in home movies that she would film and edit during her years in High School. In 2008, Troy Michel wrote, produced and recorded an eight song demo CD entitled, "Open Your Eyes". Not much has changed since, Troy Michel keeps the irons burning in several fires. Her acting skills helped her win the VJ contest for CW Richmond in 2011; as well as hosting specialty shows. Troy Michel currently serves as the "Official Face of CW Richmond". In the summer of 2014, Troy launched a lipstick line, DADE. by Troy Michel, and began hosting her very own radio show, Troy Michel LIVE!; which can be heard weekly on 90.1FM or streamed live at WDCE.org. A bubbly, outgoing, ball of energy, Troy Michel enjoys karaoke, photography, and learning to play the guitar in her spare time. She is looking forward to becoming the next multimedia superstar in addition to working in the next Emmy Award USA series or in any feature film opposite Reese Witherspoon.
