Vadim Yakovlev

Vadim Vasilevich Yakovlev was born on March 4, 1946, in Vladimir, USSR. His father, named Vasili Yakovlev, was an actor. His mother was an artist. Young Yakovlev was fond of theatre and loved being behind the scenes during the stage performances of his father. From 1962-1967 he studied acting with Georgi Tovstonogov at the Leningrad Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinematography and graduated in 1967 as an actor.
