Singer and dancer who played Seaweed in the 2007 film Hairspray and also had a role in the 2006 film Take the Lead. He also had a supporting role in the 2012 film Red Tails. He landed his first acting role at age 12 in the 1998 TV movie Mama Flor's Family. He played Danjou in the 2006 film Take the Lead. It was rumored that he dated actress Amanda Bynes in 2013. He had a childhood acting role with Don Cheadle in the 1999 TV movie A Lesson Before Dying.
