Sophie Mensah

Sophie Mensah is a British actress, born March 2nd, 1989, in Liverpool, England. Sophies heritage is Chinese, Ghanaian & European. Sophie's love for acting began as a child, when she became involved in drama clubs and radio plays. At the age of 21 she studied acting at the 'East15 Acting School' and played the lead role of 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' in her graduate showcase, where she obtained an agent and went on to her first television appearance of 'Lily' in British comedy 'Birds of a feather'. In 2016 Sophie enrolled at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England, to study her Master of Arts in 'Actor Training and Coaching' and graduated in 2017 with a distinction. Sophie has worked as an associate lecturer at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, East15 Acting School and St Mary's University. Sophie is in post as Dean of Live and Recorded Arts and course leader of MA Professional Acting at ALRA drama school (London).
